County Antrim

Meadowview is situated in the centre of County Antrim which makes it perfect for you to make day trips to many world famous tourist attractions. Set just outside Ballymena our bed and breakfast is roughly 30 miles away from the North coast which is home to 'The Giant's Causeway'.

The Giants Causeway

A wonderful sight steeped in Irish myth, The Giant's Causeway is a natural rock formation on the North Antrim coast near to the seaside town of Portrush. There is a great walk which takes you around all the formations which go right into the Irish Sea.

The Glens of Antrim

The Glens run down the East Coast of Antrim and are one of the most beautiful areas of natural landscape in the world. With the closest being Glenariff at around 10 miles from Ballymena the Glens are a wonderful way to spend the day walking in serene, picturesque woods. As with anywhere in Ireland you are able to stop anywhere along the way for a traditional Irish meal or a drink in one of the many local pubs

Local Golf
There are two local golf courses in Ballymena: Galgorm Golf Course and Ballymena Golf Course these course are each within 15 minutes drive of our bed and breakfast. There are also a wealth of other golf courses easily within driving distance including Kilrea, Castledawson and the famous Royal Portrush golf course.

As well as the Causeway and the Glens there are many other things which are within an hours drive from Meadow View, these include: 
The Bushmill's Brewery, the oldest whiskey distillery in the world.
Belfast, the capital, great shopping and many other attractions.
Ballycastle, one of the many small seaside towns with great beaches
